Why we built TimeMap.
The internet is the most detailed record of human experience ever created. Billions of people document what they see, feel, and witness in real time, from real places.
But that record is almost impossible to navigate. Search engines index content without anchoring it to where or when it happened. The context gets lost.
TimeMap was built to fix that. We believe place and time are the missing dimensions in how we understand the web. By combining geographic precision with temporal search, we make it possible to actually go back and see the world as it was, in the moments that mattered.
We're building for journalists who need to reconstruct events, researchers who need to understand communities, and curious people who just want to know what it felt like to be somewhere at a specific moment in history.
